About Us
Mission Statement, Rationale, Reputation, Story & Bio
Our Mission
To assist and inspire students’ mental, social-emotional, behavioural and academic health through meditation and SEL supports.
To serve overwhelmed teachers of busy classrooms with effective researched-based meditations and grab-and-go resources.
To help our community worldwide discover a little more wellbeing one meditation at a time.
Rationale
Mindful Minutes are becoming a daily practice for many schools, especially with mental health at the forefront for so many of us during these unbelievable times. Meditation is an all-encompassing proactive and reactive mental health strategy that has proven to be as effective as antidepressant and anti-anxiety medications after eight weeks. Regular meditation improves positive emotions, memory, learning, retention of information, and concentration. Moreover, meditation improves interpersonal relationships by enhancing empathy and compassion for others.
Meditation is inarguably the perfect support to education and we endeavour to support teachers to making the inclusion of this practice as effortless and impactful as possible.

Our Story
A message from Dreamwalkers Meditations Creative Director Tyler Boyle:
“Being a meditator myself, I wanted to share the benefits of the practice with my elementary school students so I began Dreamwalkers Meditation Club with a colleague of mine. There was a lack of free high-quality child-centred guided meditations available on YouTube so I began creating my own.
The club grew quickly, with parents and teachers beginning to attend alongside the students. After observing an improvement in the children’s mood, cognitive flexibility and focus, parents began asking how they could support this practice at home and teachers began asking how they could use these meditations in their classroom. To address these requests, Dreamwalkers Meditations as an educational and mental wellness support was born.”
Dreamwalkers Meditations are being used in more than seven school boards in Ontario - and counting. Several schools play Dreamwalkers Mindful Minutes over the announcements every day for the whole school to take part simultaneously.
Meditation is an evidence-based proactive mental health strategy with teachers reporting immediate results after just one session, and longer sustained results when used daily. Short-term effects are calmer students with increased focus, decreased chatter and increased resilience in both academics and social interactions. The longterm impact is greater self-regulation, healthier interactions, positive sense of Self and increased body awareness.
It’s not a wonder that the Dreamwalkers Community is growing so quickly. This is mindfulness made easy!
